The official website for Hitsugi no Chaika has released the first promotional video for its second season. Titled Chaika – The Coffin Princess, the video features the anime's opening theme song, "Shikkoku o Nuritsubuse," performed by Paint Out the Jet Black.
The anime will feature the return of Junji Majima as Tohru Acura, Chika Anzai as Chaika Travant , Yuko Hara as Akari Acura, and Chiwa Saito as Frederica . Soichi Masui ( Scrapped Princess) is returning to direct the anime with series composition by Touko Machida ( Tears to Tiara ). Nobuhiro Arai (Honey and Clover key animation ) will design the series characters , while Seikou Nagaoka is composing the soundtrack .
The second season is scheduled to premiere in Japan in October of this year.
