Yukito Ayatsuji, known for the famous horror light novel Another, announced that he is working on a new story, or rather a new light novel(novels with manga-style illustrations), with the provisional title Another 2.However , he had two story ideas, but this one is still incomplete.

The original story revolves around mystery and horror, written by Yukito Ayatsuji and published on October 29, 2009, by Kadokawa Shoten. A manga adaptation by Hiro Kiyohara was serialized between May 2010 and January 2012 in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine. A 12-episode anime series based on the novel aired from January 10 to March 26, 2012, produced by PA Works studio. A live-action film was released in August in Japan.
