Race marks a new phase for the franchise

Steel Ball Run presents a story set in the Old West, following Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli on a race across the United States. The work mixes action, supernatural elements, and historical figures, and is considered one of the most distinctive installments in the series.

The adaptation comes after the success of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, which concluded between 2021 and 2022. Meanwhile, the most recent manga, The JOJO Lands, has been in publication since 2023.
