Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi – Manga ends in October

The October issue of Kadokawa 's Da Vinci revealed that the Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi ends on October 6.

The manga featured illustrations by Nao Emoto ( Araburu Kisetsu ), who also did the original character design for the film.

Synopsis

The story centers on the relationship between Tsuneo and Josee. Tsuneo is a university student and Josee is a young girl who rarely leaves the house due to being unable to walk. The two first meet when Tsuneo finds Josee's grandmother taking her for a morning walk.

The film's official website announced last month that the film's new release date will be December 25 , delayed from its previously scheduled summer release due to the spread of Covid-19 .

Staff

Kotaro Tamura ( Noragami ) is directing the anime while Nao Emoto (Maidens in Your Savage Season) designed the original character designs, and Haruko Iizuka is doing the designs for the animation and also contributing as chief animation director. Sayaka Kuwamura is writing the script while Loundraw (Tsuki ga Kirei, I want to eat your pancreas – character design) is credited for conceptual design. Evan Call ( Violet Evergarden ) is composing the music. Shochiku and Kadokawa will distribute the film.

Furthermore, author Seiko Tanabe published the short story Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi in 1985 in a collection of short stories. The story inspired a film in 2003.
