Some people consider the "fox eyes" gesture a harmless joke, but many also consider it offensive to Asians. According to the story, this gesture serves to point out negative stereotypes. Therefore, the animator's drawing was interpreted as a racist gesture by Jujutsu Kaisen fans.

Due to the wave of criticism, the animator posted another drawing of Gojo making the "gomen" expression to apologize. However, some people didn't think it was appropriate to make fun of the characters and questioned the profile again.

Finally, the animator made another apology to try to ease the situation and stated that he will keep work matters to a minimum.

"I sincerely regret my lack of knowledge. I'm so sorry. From now on, I'll keep work-related posts to a minimum."
