Jujutsu Kaisen became a mega-hit since its anime adaptation resonated around the world. As a result of this success, sales of its manga began to grow significantly, eventually becoming the best-selling manga of the year. Oricon updated its list of the best-selling manga of 2022, and Jujutsu Kaisen topped the sales charts.

According to Oricon, this list refers to manga that were sold in Japan from November 2021 to November 2022. The list also only counted sales of physical volumes, not digital sales.

Besides Jujutsu Kaisen , we can see that other well-known titles topped the list. Tokyo Revengers and Spy x Family also saw a boost in sales after receiving anime adaptations. However, Demon Slayer , which had been the best-selling title in recent years, fell from first to 11th place.
Synopsis:
The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, which fights against curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. Ultimately, to protect his friends and family, Yuji decides to become a sorcerer and joins other members of Jujutsu Kaisen, including his mentor, the powerful sorcerer Gojo Satoru.
Therefore, the first season premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes animated by the MAPPA .
