Shonen Jump magazine , from publisher Shueisha , announced this Wednesday (9), that the manga Jujutsu Kaisen , by Gege Akutami will take a break from publication after the release of the next chapter.
Jujutsu Kaisen – Break announced for the manga
The purpose of the break is so that the author can work on producing the next arc.
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is an action-horror manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The work began to be serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018, and currently has 17 compiled volumes released in Japan until September 2021, in addition, it is published in Brazil by Panini Comics.
The manga then introduces a wide variety of characters, including other sorcerers, cursers, and normal humans who are affected by the supernatural conflict.
Gege Akutami's art style is therefore detailed and visceral, with intense action scenes and grotesque monsters.
The work has been a great commercial and critical success, having been nominated for several awards and receiving anime and film adaptations. The manga is, for many, one of the best current titles in the action genre.
Synopsis
The story therefore follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, who fight against curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. Ultimately, to protect his friends and family, Yuji decides to become a sorcerer and teams up with other members of Jujutsu Kaisen, including his mentor, the powerful sorcerer Gojo Satoru.
