With the release of the second season of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen , and following the first arc where we return to Gojo , the continuation of the season has received its official synopsis.

The anime will release the arc this weekend, after the end of its short hiatus. Therefore, the Jujutsu Kaisen series will begin the arc slowly with a special investigation, and it won't be long before Halloween in Shibuya arrives. So, if you want to read about this new arc, you can read the almost spoiler-free synopsis below:
"The last laugh will belong to a human or a curse. Gojo Satoru will be in the right place at the right time. We need to seize every advantage if we want to seal him away. We will proceed on October 31st in Shibuya… In October 2018, tensions are rising within the Jujutsu Technical College, long after the Goodwill Event was attacked by special-grade cursed spirits and the identity of a spy was finally revealed. Who was the spy and what was their purpose?"
Starting October 31st, a curtain suddenly falls around Shibuya Station, which is bustling with activity on Halloween. A large number of civilians are trapped… and the civilians begin calling for Gojo Satoru. To minimize the damage, the superiors opt to handle Shibuya by having Gojo work there alone. Geto, Mahito, and other cursed creatures set traps and wait for Gojo to arrive. Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Nanami, and many others wait until the curtain finally falls. An unprecedented battle of curses begins soon after, as sorcerers and cursed creatures converge on Shibuya

As planned, the Shibuya arc is set to leave Gojo alone, and the entire jujutsu society will be nervous as such. After all, the world's strongest sorcerer is destined to meet his opponent on Halloween. Geto and his gang have been planning the ambush for years. Gojo will have to fight hard if he wants to remain unsealed, because disaster awaits the world if he is banished to a cell.
The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes animated by studio MAPPA . In addition, the studio also handled the animation for the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which takes place a few years before the main series and tells the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
