Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji and Choso's fight gained unusual inspiration

Episode 37 of Jujutsu Kaisen Itadori Yuji and Choso 's incredible fight . Then, Kazuto Arai , the episode's director, revealed what the inspirations were for making this fight so impressive.

Mappa studio team used two anime as a reference to develop the animation of this episode. the battle were inspired by the Cyberpunk anime style Netflix Edgerunners .

On the other hand, the inspiration of the effects of water running came from the anime Kizumonogatari . Thus, the director developed an excellent scheme of colors, photography and choreography to make Yuji's unforgettable fight for viewers.

Synopsis: 

Ever since Yuji Itadori, a high school student, became involved with the secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, he has been training to face curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. Therefore, to protect his friends and innocent people, Yuji decides to join the jujutsu sorcerers as a student in training under the guardianship of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of all.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and had 24 animated episodes by Mappa . Then the studio also took care of the animation of the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which takes place a few years before the main series and tells the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
