The success of Kagurabachi

Released in September 2023, Kagurabachi is an action and battle manga that has already amassed impressive numbers. A huge success, and with the release of volume 5 scheduled for December 4th, the series has surpassed 1.3 million copies in circulation. Furthermore, it won first place in the collected manga category of the Next Manga Awards 2024, reinforcing its popularity.

One of the distinguishing features of the work is its strong international impact. From the very first chapters, fans around the world, known as "Bachibros," boosted the series' popularity on social media, making it a global phenomenon and Shueisha's biggest recent international success.

The anime market in Japan has grown exponentially, reaching 3.34 trillion yen in 2023, driven by adaptations of major Jump titles such as Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen , and My Hero Academia. However, the sector faces a shortage of new hits, making Kagurabachi a strategic bet.

Finally, anime producers believe the series has everything it takes to become a phenomenon, both in Japan and abroad. With such high expectations, Kagurabachi promises to be one of the highlights of the next generation of anime.
