The latest update for Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME is now available and adds chapter 12 of the main story, titled “X-OVER”. In addition to advancing the game, the content introduces a new playable version of Gen Narumi, one of the most popular characters in the series created by Naoya Matsumoto.

Global operation against a new threat
In the new chapter of the game, the organization CLOZER proposes a major international operation in New York to confront the dangerous Identified Dimensional A Kaiju, considered the greatest threat humanity has ever faced. However, the plans take a turn when the captain of the First Division, Gen Narumi, refuses to participate in the mission and decides to remain in Japan.
While Rin Shinonome and the other members of the First Division try to compensate for the absence of their most powerful fighter, the scientist Suited presents an experimental alternative called the X-OVER Suit. The technology emerges as a possible solution to balance the forces during the global operation.
New character and special rewards
The update also introduces the 5-star character [Sky-Piercing Bolt] Gen Narumi. In this version, Narumi uses a special suit developed by CLOZER and equipped with the D-Numbers Weapon 1, a contact lens capable of amplifying electrical signals from the body and converting them into devastating attacks through his gauntlet.
Additionally, players can obtain the new 5-star weapon GS-Aremihc (Gunsword). To celebrate the chapter's release, a limited-time event will distribute up to 1,500 Dimensional Crystals as rewards.
Based on the manga by Naoya Matsumoto, published in Shonen Jump+ between 2020 and 2025, Kaiju No. 8 has surpassed 19 million copies in circulation. Meanwhile, the anime continues to expand the franchise with new projects, including an adaptation of the final chapter.
