It has been announced that the manga Kemono Jihen, by author Shou Aimoto, will receive an anime. No details about the production or cast have been confirmed yet, but two promotional images have been released.

Synopsis of the manga:

"When a series of animal carcasses that decompose after a single night begin to appear in a village near the mountains, a Tokyo detective who specializes in the occult is called in to investigate.".

While working on the case, he befriends a strange boy who works in the fields every day instead of going to school. Shunned by others and nicknamed “Dorota-bou” after a yokai that lives in the mud, he helps Inugami uncover the truth behind the deaths—but supernatural forces are at play, and while Dorota-bou is just a nickname, it might not be the only thing about the boy that isn't human
