Aya discovered that the person she was interested in wasn't a man—and she also realized she can't control herself around Mitsuki! The two haven't yet named their complex and sincere feelings, but those feelings only grow as they continue to connect through music. With their senior year of high school approaching, plans for the future begin to emerge…
Therefore, "Ki ni Natteru Hito ga Otoko Janakatta" is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Sumiko Arai. The story initially appeared as a short story posted on Arai's Twitter account between July and September 2021. In April 2022, it began weekly publication, and in April 2023, it was serialized on the Pixiv Comic platform.
Finally, in the same month, Kadokawa Shoten published the series in physical format, with its chapters compiled into three tankōbon until February 2025.
