During the Jump Festa 2019 event, the first trailer for the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba by author Koyoharu Gotouge was revealed. The new anime arrives in April 2019.
The animation is all from the studio ufotable (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu), directed by Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the X, Tales of Symphonia the Animation) and the character design is by Akira Matsushima ( Maria Watches Over Us, Tales of Zestiria the X).
The story follows the kind-hearted boy Tanjirou who lived peacefully with his family as a coal seller. His normal life changes completely when his family is killed by demons. The only other survivor, Tanjirou's younger sister Nezuko, became a ferocious demon. To return Nezuko to normal and take revenge on the demon that killed her family, the two set out on a journey. From a young talent begins a tale of adventures of blood and swords!
