It has been revealed that the anime Kimetsu no Yaiba by author Koyoharu Gotouge will be produced by the studio Ufotable, and it seems that all the animation will be carried out by the studio's team, the same one that took care of seasons like Fate/Zero.
Therefore, in May, the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga was given the green light for production as a series.
What to expect from Kimetsu no Yaiba?
Since ancient times, rumors of man-eating demons lurking in the forest have abounded. Because of this, locals never venture outside at night. Legend has it that a demon slayer also roams the night, hunting these bloodthirsty fiends. For young Tanjiro, these rumors will soon become his harsh reality…
Since his father's death, Tanjiro has taken on the responsibility of supporting his family. Though their lives may be hardened by tragedy, they have found happiness. But this fleeting warmth is shattered one day when Tanjiro discovers his family has been murdered and the sole survivor, his sister Nezuko, has been transformed into a demon. To his surprise, however, Nezuko still shows signs of human emotion and consciousness… Thus begins Tanjiro's journey to fight the demons and transform his sister back into a human.
Finally, Gotouge himself commented that it would be a serious problem for ufotable due to its artistic style, but the studio is ahead of schedule with production and making a great anime.
