The official website for the anime Kimi to Boku no Saigo Senjou, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen ( Kimisen ) inspired by the light novel by Kei Sanaze and Ao Nekonabe revealed that production for the 2nd season has been given the green light.
Synopsis
There has been a great war for years between the scientifically advanced Empire and Nebulis, the kingdom of magical girls - even when the youngest knight to be given the title of strongest in the Empire meets the princess of the rival nation. They are sworn enemies... however the knight is attracted by her beauty and honor, while the princess is moved by her strength and way of living. Will the fight between them ever end?

Shin Oonuma ( BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense , WATAMOTE ) and Mirai Minato are directing the anime from studio SILVER LINK . Kento Shimoyama (Death March to The Parallel Word Rhapsody) will write the anime's script. Finally, Kaori Sato (animation director on BOFURI, Dusk maiden of Amnesia, Masamune-kun's Revenge) is the character designer and chief animation director. Additionally, Kaori Ishihara sings the opening theme song “Against”. Sora Amamiya sings the ending theme “Koori no Torikago” (Cage of Ice) as her character Aliceliese Lou Nebulis IX.
Season 1 of the anime premiered on October 7, 2020.
Finally, Kadokawa began publishing the novels in print in Japan in May 2017. Okama launched the manga adaptation of Kimisen in Hakusensha magazine's Young Animal in May 2018.
