It has been confirmed that the second season of Kingdom will come to an end. The April issue of Shueisha 's V Jump magazine confirmed that Kingdom will conclude with episode 39, which will air on March 1st. The anime began airing in June 2013.
The manga has been published in Weekly Young Jump since 2006 and currently has 33 volumes.
NHK broadcasts the series in the early hours of Sunday morning. For now, the public broadcaster has not yet announced whether a third season will be produced.
