The sequel to the Kizumonogatari franchise, based on the hit Bakemonogatari by author NisiOisin, is coming in the summer of 2016. The plans for Kizumonogatari are a film trilogy, with the second film titled Kizumonogatari II: Nekketsu-hen (Passionate Blood).
The first Kizumonogatari I Tekketsu-hen(Iron and Blood) film will premiere in Japan on January 8th of next year, with a runtime of 60 minutes.
Kizumonogatari is a one-volume story that shows some of the events before the main arc of Bakemonogatari, a light novel by the same authors.
