During the Aniplex Online Fest 2023 event, it was revealed that the Kizumonogatari trilogy is being re-edited into a single film titled Kizumonogatari -Koyomi Vamp- . Therefore, the premiere is scheduled for January 12, 2024.

Therefore, the trilogy is part of the franchise of the successful Bakemonogatari by author NisiOisin from 2016. The plans for Kizumonogatari were several films: Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu, Kizumonogatari II: Nekketsu-hen, Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen, Kizumonogatari: I Tekketsu-hen.
Finally, Kizumonogatari is a one-volume story that shows some of the events before the main arc of Bakemonogatari, a light novel by the same authors.
