Komi Can't Communicate will be live-action in September

The NHK organization revealed that the manga Komi Can't Communicate is inspiring the production of a live-action that will premiere on September 6th on NHK General's late-night drama block “Yorudora”. The series will then have a total of eight episodes.

Elaiza Ikeda will play the character Shouko Komi , while Takahisa Masuda will play Hitohito Tadano .

Yoshihito Okashita and Eiji Ishii are directing the series. Fumie Mizuhashi is writing the script. Toshikazu Higuchi and Asako Takagi are executive producers. Hiroyuki Ounuma is producing the drama. Tоuichirou Rutou is the coordinating producer. Eishi Segawa is composing the music.

Synopsis

On her first day at the elite Itan High School, the main setting of the story, Shouko Komi is immediately popular due to the stoic beauty and elegance her classmates perceive her to possess. However, only Hitohito Tadano, an extremely ordinary student assigned to the seat next to her, realizes that behind her appearance, Komi has serious problems communicating with other people. After an incident leaves Komi and Tadano alone in class, Komi reveals that her dream is to make 100 friends. Tadano decides to help Komi in her quest to find the 100 friends.

It is worth remembering that Komi's manga Can't Communicate is also inspiring an anime , which will premiere in October on TV Tokyo .
