Twitter user @Mrpkulslol found the character Komi-san from the manga/anime Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu in a Mexican school textbook, but how did that happen?
In Mexico, there is the National Commission for Free Textbooks, a government organization that distributes books to students throughout the country. The book that caught our attention here is "Taller de Lectura y Redacción I" (roughly translated as 'Reading and Writing Workshop') because it includes writing and text interpretation questions using the Komi-san franchise.

Despite its peculiarity, it's very interesting to see something from otaku culture, anime, and manga connected with learning and encouraging knowledge through lessons that resonate better with students, bringing something fun for the greater good. Mexican teaching methods deserve praise.
Synopsis
It's Shouko Komi's first day at the prestigious Itan Private High School, and she's already become the school's Madonna. With her long black hair and tall, elegant appearance, she draws the attention of everyone she meets. However, there's a problem: despite her popularity, Shouko is terrible at communicating with others. Hitohito Tadano is your typical high school boy. With his life motto of "reading the situation and making sure to stay out of trouble," he quickly discovers that sitting next to Shouko has made him the enemy of everyone in his class.
Finally, Tomohito Oda launched the Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu Shogakukan 's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in May 2016, after publishing a one-shot manga in September 2015. Furthermore, Shogakukan published the 20th volume on February 18th.
The anime Komi-san had Ayumu Watanabe (After the Rain) as chief director, while Kazuki Kawagoe directed the anime at studio OLM . Deko Akao ( Noragami ) was in charge of series composition. Atsuko Nakajima ( Tokyo Ghoul:re ) was the character designer.
