The official website Komi-san wa, Komyushou Desu anime inspired by Tomohito Oda announced that the adaptation will premiere in October on TV Tokyo .

The long-awaited anime about the mysterious beauty Shouko Komi is finally being produced! This romance is slow, but it is still sweet. The work is cartoonish and simple, but the author Tomohito Oda manages to make a very special story using several clichés.
Synopsis
The shy Tadano is a completely average person, and that's the way he likes it. But all that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes that she's not aloof – she's just super weird. Now he's made it his mission to help her on her journey to make 100 friends!

Ayumu Watanabe (After the Rain) is the anime's chief director, while Kazuki Kawagoe will direct the anime at studio OLM . Deko Akao ( Noragami ) is in charge of series composition. Atsuko Nakajima ( Tokyo Ghoul:re ) is doing the character design.
Finally, Tomohito Oda launched the Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu Shogakukan 's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in May 2016, after publishing a one-shot of the manga in September 2015. Furthermore, Shogakukan published the 20th volume on September 18. February.
