The official website for the anime Tomohito Oda 's manga , Komi-san wa, Komyushou Desu, announced that it will premiere in October on TV Tokyo .

The long-awaited anime of the mysterious beauty Shouko Komi is finally in production! This romance is slow-paced, but nonetheless endearing. The work is caricatured and simple, but the author Tomohito Oda manages to create a very special story using several clichés.
Synopsis
Shy Tadano is a totally average person, and that's how he likes it. But all that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes she's not indifferent – she's just super weird. Now he's taken it upon himself to help her on her journey to make 100 friends!

Ayumu Watanabe (After the Rain) is the chief director of the anime, while Kazuki Kawagoe will direct the anime at studio OLM . Deko Akao ( Noragami ) is in charge of series composition. Atsuko Nakajima ( Tokyo Ghoul:re ) is doing the character design.
Finally, Tomohito Oda launched the Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu Shogakukan 's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in May 2016, after publishing a one-shot manga in September 2015. Furthermore, Shogakukan published the 20th volume on February 18th.
