Maplestar reveals Aqua x Kazuma animation

Rafael Shinzo
My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

Aqua x Maplestar? As announced on their official blog, the well-known animator Maplestar has announced their new animation featuring the characters Aqua and Kazuma from the popular anime KonoSuba (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!).

Maplestar commented on his Aqua animation

I would like to apologize to everyone for the long wait for the release of the complete animations. I tried to give some previews of what I was preparing, but I never planned to make you wait so long to see a complete video. This video took no more than a month to make: I was working on several things at the same time, while waiting for music, other animators, and voice actors. Some things went off my schedule, and basically, I had to switch the release order between Konosuba and JJK (Jujutsu Kaisen). I did all the animation for Konosuba while waiting for the issues with the JJK video to be resolved.

In addition to KonoSuba, Maplestar also commented on the release of the JJK (Jujutsu Kaisen) anime:

The animation is ready, we're just waiting to coordinate schedules with the voice actors, they're all very busy, so I hope you understand.

About Maplestar:

Therefore, the talented Maplestar has been winning fans around the world with his animations aimed at a more mature audience, leaving his mark on the hearts of animation enthusiasts.

Thus, with a portfolio full of memorable characters, such as the enigmatic Makima from "Chainsaw Man," the cunning Yor Forger from "SPY x FAMILY," and the enchanting Marin Kitagawa from "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru," Maplestar has solidified his place as a leading artist in the contemporary animation scene.

Although some question animator Maplestar's choice to dedicate himself to animation production, his success in this niche is undeniable.
