Following the confirmation of Assassination Classroomthe most successful basketball manga currently in Japan, Kuroko no Baskethas also been officially announced by the publisher Panini. According to an announcement at the Fest Comix , they had already stated they would be bringing two sensational titles to delight many otaku readers.

Kuroko no Basket was the third best-selling manga of the first half of 2014, coming close to the famous One Piece. Tadatoshi Fujimaki's work, published in Shonen Jump magazine since 2008, was one of the most requested titles by fans here in Brazil.

With 27 volumes and a third anime season announced, Kuroko no Basket revolves around the Teiko Middle School basketball team that excelled by defeating all competition. The members of this team became known as the "Generation of Miracles." After graduating from middle school, these five stars enrolled in different high schools. Each school now had a strong basketball team. However, a fact that few knew was that there was another player from the "Generation of Miracles," a sixth "phantom player," Kuroko Tetsuya. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with its little-known basketball team. Now, Kuroko, the sixth member of the "Generation of Miracles," and Kagami Taiga, a naturally talented player who spent most of his high school years in the United States, aim to lead Seirin to the top of Japan, challenging Kuroko's former teammates one by one.
