Following the confirmation of Assassination Classroom , the most successful current basketball manga in Japan, Kuroko no Basket , is also made official by publisher Panini . According to an announcement at the Fest Comix , they had already announced that they would bring two sensational titles to delight many otaku readers.
Kuroko no Basket was already the third best-selling manga of the first half of 2014, coming close to the famous One Piece, Tadatoshi Fujimaki's work published since 2008 in Shonen Jump magazine was one of the most requested titles by fans here in Brazil.
With 27 volumes and a third anime season announced, Kuroko no Basket revolves around the Teiko high school basketball team that stands out by defeating all the competition. The members of this team became known as the “Generation of Miracles”. After finishing elementary school, these five stars enrolled in different schools. Each high school now had a strong basketball team. However, a fact that few knew is that there was another player from the “Generation of Miracles”, a sixth “ghost player”, Kuroko Tetsuya. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school, with its little-known basketball team. Now, Kuroko, the sixth member of the “Generation of Miracles”, and Kagami Taiga, a naturally talented player who spent most of high school in the United States, aim to take Seirin to the top of Japan, challenging the old Kuroko's companions one by one.
