The March 18, 2025 issue of G Fantasy 's Square Enix announced that Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) Yana Tobosowill return from its hiatus on April 18, 2025.

The manga has been on hiatus since June 2024so that Toboso could conduct research and prepare for the next arc of the series. Because it's a story set in Victorian, the author decided to study the period further to better develop the climax .

About Kuroshitsuji

Square Enix began publishing the manga in September 2006 in G Fantasy. The story received an anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures in October 2028.

The manga depicts the life of Ciel Phantomhive, a thirteen-year-old boy who became the head of a noble English family that owns a toy and candy empire. And now he acts directly under the orders of the queen.

Ciel has a butler named Sebastian Michaelis, who performs all the tasks required by his master. Ciel and Sebastian solve problems that trouble the English royalty, whether supernatural or not.

Anime chronology

The anime had some issues with the audience because it didn't faithfully follow the manga. The second season of Kuroshitsuji was a completely original arc for the anime. From the third season onwards, the story returned to following the original storyline.

With this, the anime began to be divided into arcs, namely, Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus, Kuroshitsuji: Book of Murder , and Kuroshitsuji: Book of the Atlantic.

In addition to the series, the anime has several OVAs, including: His Butler – Performer from the first season; Ciel in Wonderland, Welcome to the Phantomhive's, The Making of Kuroshitsuji II, The Threads of the Spider, and The Story of Will the Reaper from the second season.
