It seems a hate campaign has emerged on Japanese social media against the character 'Maomao', the protagonist of the anime "Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries)". Groups of anime fans are appearing on social media expressing opinions contrary to the majority.

The series continues to be one of the surprises of the season since the fall of 2023 (between October and December), remaining at the top of the popularity rankings alongside “Sousou no Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End)”.
However, a social media post began to criticize Maomao, the protagonist of the anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, saying: “A girl who deliberately makes herself ugly just by getting freckles. Who gets upset when a tall, rich, and handsome man attacks her. Who is scary when she gets angry and often threatens women much bigger and more powerful than her. The idea is too greedy to be tolerated, does anyone relate?”

Synopsis:
