Light novel 'Kyuukyoku Shinka' to get anime

The light novel Kyuukyoku Shinka Shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu Yori mo Kusogee Dattara by Light Tuchihi ( Kono Yuusha ) will get an anime adaptation that premieres in April.

Loose translation of the LN title “What if the ultimate in fully immersive VR RPGs was a game worse than reality itself.”

Synopsis

The story follows a bored high school student named Hiro Yuuki as he is tricked into a fully immersive role-playing video game. The game, titled Kiwame Quest, is touted as "more real than reality," with mind-blowing graphics, impressive NPC behavior, and even the smell of foliage and the feel of wind against your skin.

Unfortunately, the game is already a virtual ghost town, after being inundated with complaints from players that it was too realistic for its own good. Its missions are nearly impossible to complete, as players must be in the same physical shape as their characters to complete them, as they would in real life. Players feel real pain as stab wounds and stab wounds take days to heal. The only reward is the mere feeling of accomplishment. It's the opposite of casual games, but Hiro vows to beat the most realistic game ever.
