The official website announced that the light novel "Saikyō no Shokugyō wa Yūsha Demo Kenja Demo Naku Kantei-shi (Kari) Rashii Desu yo?" , by Atekichi anime adaptation scheduled to premiere in April 2026. The series, which in English has been given the title "The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional)!" , also revealed a teaser visual , in addition to the main staff and cast .
The production will be by Studio Flad , directed by Makoto Hoshino ( Banished from the Hero's Party , Uta no☆Prince-sama Revolutions ). The script and series composition are under the responsibility of Megumi Shimizu ( My Next Life as a Villainess , Banished from the Hero's Party ). The character designs are by Mihoko Ogawa and Yoshie Matsumoto .
Additionally, artist Atsushi Takeda , responsible for the manga adaptation of the work, shared a commemorative illustration for the anime's announcement.
Plot and characters
The story follows Hibiki Manabe , an ordinary student who is transported to a fantasy world filled with monsters. There, he discovers he has been granted the "Appraisal" and the title of "Appraiser (Provisional) ." Guided by the elf Emalia , he becomes an adventurer and teams up with Claude , a cursed beastman, Lillian , a sage from the future, and Vene , a sacred cat. As he searches for a way to return to his world, Hibiki begins to realize that perhaps his "provisional" profession is actually the most powerful of all.
Finally, it's worth remembering that Atekichi will also have another work adapted: “Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)!” , which will soon have an anime.
