News that should excite fans in Brazil, especially those focused on Brazilian cinema. Following the success of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, distributor California Filmes announced on its Facebook that it will release the film The Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu – The Wind Rises), by director Hayao Miyazaki . The distributor announced the release date for The Wind Rises in Brazil: February 28th .

The story takes place around World War II, when young Jiro Horikoshi dreams of designing an entire airplane. While pursuing his goal, he survives the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and meets his wife. Horikoshi became known for creating the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, the fearsome fighter jet used by the Japanese Navy.

Studio Ghibli's anime was well-received by critics, earning an Annie Award nomination and being shortlisted for the Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature.
