The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha gained new developments this Sunday (21). The anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance released its second official trailer, an updated version of the main visual and confirmed a new character.

With a premiere scheduled for July, the production also presented the opening theme song “CRIMSON BULLET,” performed by Nana Mizuki, who returns to the role of Fate T. Harlawown. In addition, actress Sumire Uesaka will voice the character Mana Shinomiya, a powerful majin who operates in the shadows in search of power.

A new threat emerges in the story

The story takes place 30 years after the emergence of a mysterious invasive species that nearly drove humanity to extinction. Although the world has achieved temporary stability, the threat remains. In this context, the international agency EXCEEDS works to combat disasters and hostile creatures.

The protagonist, Shiina Kuze, lives on an isolated island in the country of Mizuho. Her mission is to eliminate invaders while trying to preserve a peaceful life alongside her sister, Setsuna. However, new conflicts will put this desire to the test.

The project once again features the franchise's screenwriter and co-creator, Masaki Tsuzuki . Takayuki Hamana is directing at the studio Seven Arcs. The anime premieres on July 5, 2026, with a special one-hour episode. However, the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS manga has been ongoing since April 2025, expanding the franchise's universe.

Meanwhile, the series continues to expand its legacy, which began in 2004 and already includes anime, films, manga, and drama CDs. For more news on classic anime and new releases, keep following the daily updates here at AnimeNew.
