Dead Dead Demon's manga gets a short in 3DCG

Inio Asano 's Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction manga has been given a 40-second short using experimental 3DCG technology.

The short film is a partnership with computer manufacturer Mouse Computer , sponsored by the “DAIV” brand, developed under the concept of “a PC for creators, by creators.”

The video was produced by Kohta Morie, who recently worked on the Nisshin Cup Noodles "Hungry Days" commercial featuring the One Piece characters. Furthermore, Asano has been using the brand's product for years, which is how the project came to fruition.

Synopsis

One day, a menacing alien ship appeared, covering the city's sky three years ago. The arrival of the "Invaders" sparked a massive war between humanity and the invaders. Although everything has changed, nothing has.

Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa Ouran live their lives normally, going to school and hanging out with friends without a care in the world. However, as they grow up, they encounter the adult world, full of manipulative demons who deceive and destroy for their own gain. This is how they realize the true threat to humanity.

Finally, the sci-fi slice-of-life series Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction has been serialized in Shogakukan 's Big Comics Spirits since April 2014, with nine volumes to date. Additionally, Asano is the author of the popular drama manga Oyasumi Punpun from 2007 to 2013. The manga received a jury recommendation at the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival Awards and was also nominated for an Eisner Award in 2017.
