According to data released by Oricon , the manga's 11 volumes have sold approximately 20.38 million copies. Shingeki no Kyojin became the seventh best-selling manga series to reach the 20 million mark, including limited editions. Other series that achieved this feat include Kimi ni Todoke (with its 18th volume), Naruto, and One Piece. To date, over 20 million copies of the series have been printed.
Volume 11, released in August, had an initial print run of 1.85 million copies. Approximately 290,893 copies of this edition were sold, and 1,054,915 since its release. All 11 volumes of Shingeki no Kyojin have consistently ranked among the 40 best-selling manga series on the Oricon charts. Volume 11 ranks 12th with 75,525 copies sold. In Brazil, the manga will begin publication in November by Panini . A source told Mantan Web that Shingeki no Kyojin is like a hit that only comes along once every decade.
