The September issue of Kadokawa Monthly Comp Ace magazine Chika Tojo's manga adaptation of the novel The Saga of Tanya the Evil (Youjo Senki) by Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki will end its "first part" in the next issue in August 2020.
Synopsis
The story revolves around a young woman fighting at the front in the war. She has blue eyes, blonde hair, almost transparent white skin, and flies through the air to mercilessly slaughter her enemies. Her name is Tanya Degurechov, she has the voice of a young girl and is in command of the army. Tanya used to be an elite agent in Japan, but because of God's wrath, she was reborn as a girl. Tanya puts optimization and progress of her military career above all else, and wants to become the most dangerous entity among the sorcerers in the Imperial Army.
Tojo launched The Saga of Tanya the Evil in Monthly Comp Ace in 2016. The manga has 19 volumes to date.
Zen and Shinotsuki launched the novel in 2013, with 13 volumes to date. The 12-episode anime adaptation premiered in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it was released. The anime also got a film in February 2019, with the same staff and cast.
