“In the production process, we have not yet reached the point where AI has taken over human hands and improved efficiency. We are researching the latest information about AI and working on developing how to use it. I hope AI makes it easier to manage detailed numbers in production.”

Additionally, Shuhei Hosono , editor-in-chief of Shonen Jump+ , and Yuki Naito , president of Drecom , also participate in this interview. Then Hosono comments that he will also use artificial intelligence in Shonen Jump+ projects.

“We have been doing machine translation for some time with a company called Mantra. The language barrier is the biggest obstacle to globalization, so if machine translation is developed, this will be solved. Cartoonists are like general art directors. This time, the AI team will step in, with the manga artist integrating and supervising them, but there may be changes.”
