The romantic comedy Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms (Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai) revealed its first teaser visual and trailer for the second season of the anime this Thursday. Studio SynergySP returns to produce, while Yoshiaki Okumura continues directing the sequel.

The main cast is also confirmed for the new episodes. Ryota Iwasaki continues as Medaka Kuroiwa, while Yu Serizawa returns as Mona Kawai. Additionally, Sora Amamiya, Kana Hanazawa, Hinaki Yano, and Kaori Maeda continue to portray Asahi Shonan, Tsubomi Haruno, Tomo Namba, and Minami Shirahama, respectively.

The adaptation is based on the manga by Ran Kuze, serialized since 2021 in Weekly Shonen Magazine's Kodansha. The work initially began as a one-shot published in December 2020 before gaining regular serialization.

School romance still has no set date

The first season is available on Crunchyroll, which describes the story as a fun rivalry between the popular Mona Kawai and the indifferent Medaka Kuroiwa. Despite using all her charm, Mona can't get the attention of the transfer boy, creating chaotic situations at school.

For now, the production of the second season has not yet revealed its premiere date. In the meantime, follow other news about anime, manga, and new seasons here at AnimeNew.
