Medalist: Film gets trailer and visual for 2027

Kadokawa has revealed a new visual and a promotional teaser for the Medalist , based on the figure skating manga

The project arrives as an expansion of the story shown on TV, maintaining the focus on Tsukasa and Inori's journey. The film is scheduled to premiere in 2027, expanding the universe of the work that has already gained recognition in the manga scene.

Medalist: A direct continuation of the anime

The first season of Medalist premiered in January 2025 on TV Asahi's NUMAnimation block, with a simultaneous broadcast on Disney+. The second season began in January 2026 and recently concluded, retaining the main cast and crew.

Among the technical highlights, the production featured specific changes in the team, such as art direction and visual composition. In addition, artists like HANA and Conton Candy were responsible for the opening and closing themes of the new season.

Medalist is a sports drama manga published in Afternoon magazine since 2020. The story follows two characters who share the dream of competing on ice at a world level. The title has already won important awards, including the 2024 Kodansha Manga Awards .
