Michael B. Jordan is the star of the Creed and many other famous Hollywood films. However, the actor has revealed that he is also an otaku, following many anime and manga. So, on his most recent visit to Japan, Jordan met his favorite manga artist, the illustrator of One-Punch Man, Yusuke Murata.

While visiting Japan for the premiere of Creed 3, Michael B. Jordan had the chance to meet the illustrator of One-Punch Man in person. The actor also managed to take some photos with Yusuke Murata and chat with him during the encounter.
Murata said that he had been following Jordan's work in film and that Creed 3 became a very significant movie for him. He then said that he was very happy to meet the manga artist he admires and how One-Punch Man appealed to him.
“I’m very influenced by One-Punch Man, but I feel it’s a story that portrays a hero’s journey. Several characters face trials and challenges and depict the process of growth, and I also feel love and compassion. The main character, Saitama, is in a different position because he has reached his maximum strength. The difference between his exterior and interior (the point where his strength is no longer transmitted to his surroundings) is also appealing.”
Synopsis:
The plot revolves around Saitama, an ordinary man who decides to train to become a superhero, so he sets out to save people from monsters and other threats that arise. He has become so strong that he always finishes his fights in a few seconds, throwing just one punch. However, due to his overwhelming strength, Saitama has become bored and is constantly trying to find stronger opponents who can fight him on equal terms.
The first season premiered in 2015, directed by Shingo Natsume at Madhouse (Hunter x Hunter). The second season premiered in January 2019, containing 12 episodes animated by JCStaff (Toradora!), and a third season is currently in production.
