First, the author commented on the beginning of the manga, where he started posting on Twitter. So, with all his success he always thought about serializing it, and he always had a focus on a horror plot! On the other hand, director Yuki was quite concerned about finding a good designer at the beginning, as he was thinking about monsters that appear in different forms. No wonder the result was so perfect.
Furthermore, they feel bad about having to censor several more grotesque parts, as designers always worry about the smallest details. On the other hand, they give complete freedom to work on the style of the monsters, so it doesn't become repetitive, and the unknown is always scarier.
