Milky☆Subway | Sequel to the anime Milky☆Highway premieres in July

Animator Yohei Kameyama announced that the Milky☆Highway CG anime will have a sequel, called Ginga Tokkyu Milky☆Subway (Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express). The animated short will premiere in July .

Yohei Kameyama, as with the first short film, directs , writes, and produces the sequel. He also handled character design , modeling, animation, editing, and other animation tasks.

The voice cast changed, with Momoko Terasawa voicing Makina and Anna Nagase voicing her. In the original short, Mizuki Fumisuki voiced Chiharu, while Kana Kobayashi voiced Makina.

Synopsis of Milky☆Subway

The special will show Chiharu and Makina performing community service after receiving a speeding ticket in the previous short. They started by cleaning the Milky Subway , a subway line that runs between planets.

But what should have been a simple and ordinary job ends up involving the pair in a large-scale incident

Kameyama released the original short film Milky☆Highway CG in 2022; the work was his graduation project CG Animation course at Vantan Game Academy, part of the large Kadokawa conglomerate. The English-subtitled version (which you can see below) and the original Japanese version together have accumulated 6.75 million views on YouTube.
