Through social media, fans received confirmation that the anime Minami-ke will get a new season. Without many details, the production team stated that it will be a sequel.

Minami-ke (The Minami Family) is a manga created by Koharu Sakuraba, who is also the author of Kyo no Gononi. However, the manga gained many fans, resulting in the production of several anime adaptations.

Synopsis Minami-ke:

The narrative revolves around the daily lives of the three sisters in the Minami family: Haruka, Kana, and Chiaki. Each of them possesses a distinct personality, which adds a special touch to their daily interactions at home, school, gym, or high school. The anime features episodes with varied themes, without a specific final objective, similar to other anime such as Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh, and School Rumble. However, the work stands out for addressing a more serious and adult theme, offering a unique and engaging perspective on the lives of these three sisters.

Therefore, the first season of the anime, animated by Studio Dōmu, premiered on October 7, 2007. Then, the second season, produced by Studio Asread, aired on January 6, 2008, with the title "Minami-ke: Okawari". Finally, Studio Asread animated the third season, titled "Minami-ke: Okaeri", which began airing on January 9, 2009.
