Kadokawa has confirmed that the manga Nabe ni Dangan wo Ukenagara (Getting Shots on a Frying Pan or Nabetama for short), created by Juntarō Aoki and illustrated by Shin Moriyama, will receive an anime adaptation in 2027. The announcement was made this Thursday along with the first promotional image for the series. Studio JC Staff is working on the animation.

The work, also known by the nickname Nabetama, mixes gastronomy, humor, and stories inspired by real experiences. The plot follows Juntarō, a mysterious and beautiful girl(?) who travels through dangerous regions of the world in search of exotic dishes. The protagonist's goal is to accumulate 50,000 flavor points while experimenting with unconventional recipes.

Released in 2021 in the digital magazine Comic Newtype, the manga presents an unusual combination of adventure and cooking. Each chapter explores typical dishes from different countries, showcasing local ingredients and traditions in a chaotic narrative based on the authors' real-life experiences.

To date, the team has not revealed a voice cast or a specific premiere date beyond the 2027 window. The manga also gained prominence by appearing among the top 20 titles for male audiences in the 2023 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guide
