Therefore, the anime team will announce a new premiere date soon. In the meantime, a rerun of select episodes of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will air in its place.

The anime staff had previously announced that episodes would premiere on September 3rd and air weekly for four consecutive weeks. The new episodes commemorate the anime's 20th anniversary (the Naruto anime premiered in October 2002).

The band FLOW will perform the 20th anniversary version of their song “GO!!!” as the opening theme song for the new episodes, and they will perform a cover of Orange Range’s song “Viva Rock” as the ending theme song.

Synopsis

Naruto Uzumaki, a young orphan from the Hidden Leaf Village, dreams of becoming the Fifth Hokage, the village's greatest warrior and ruler. Upon graduating as a ninja, Naruto discovers he has a fox demon sealed within him. His father, the Fourth Hokage, imprisoned the fox within his own son when the entity threatened to destroy the Hidden Leaf Village, thus sacrificing his own life. Alongside his classmates, especially Sakura, Sasuke, and mentor Kakashi Hatake, he pursues the arduous mission of becoming the greatest ninja and stopping those who plan to harm his town. The young trio, formed when Naruto seeks training, embarks on several missions for the village, and during the ninja exam, the villain Orochimaru, a wanted criminal, appears.

The new episodes are therefore a celebration of the anime's 20th anniversary (the Naruto anime premiered on TV in October 2002). The episodes arrive on September 3rd and will air weekly for four consecutive weeks.
