“ Not only for Japan, but for the world, we are also preparing new content to deliver the anime programming, ” the Tweet states.
Above all, the new channel with the proposal to deliver information about anime worldwide seems like an expansion of the Netflix Pawā , which was an initiative for anime fans to receive news about their favorite titles, learning more about their favorite anime among their creators and cultural interests.
Furthermore, the new Netflix Anime Global project is expected to follow the same line, showcasing original anime from the platform, interviews with staff, behind-the-scenes footage of the creative process, etc. However, it has not yet been announced whether the channel will receive episodes.
Netflix is the world's leading online entertainment service with over 130 million members in 190 countries.
Last month, digital strategy company Analyzelog launched the Animelog , an official channel with free anime on YouTube.
