Netflix revealed during its live event Netflix Festival Japan 2021 that it will stream the anime Thermae Romae Novae worldwide in 2022 (previously, the anime was scheduled to premiere later this year).
The event also revealed that Kenjiro Tsuda will voice the protagonist Lucius .
Synopsis
Lucius, a bath designer in the Roman Empire, accidentally travels back in time to modern-day Japan and learns about Japanese bathing culture in this comedy story.
Tetsuya Tatamitani is directing the anime, while Yuuichirou Momose is writing the scripts. NAZ is producing the animation, basing it on the original manga and also featuring new stories written by Yamazaki .
