Netoge no Yome wa Onna no Ko ja nai to Omotta? (I Thought My Online Game Wife Wasn't A Girl?) will get its anime version, the information comes from Kadokawa's pages. The light novel is by author Shibai Kineko with illustrator Hisasi.

The story follows Hideki Nishimura, who has his first crush on a character in an online game. He discovers that behind the scenes there's a player called "Nekama" (a male player pretending to be a girl). One day, another female character confesses her love for him, and his player, Ako Tamaki, is a beautiful girl. But he soon discovers that she has a serious communication problem, making it impossible to distinguish between reality and online.

The light novel was released in 2013 where Kadokawa released the 8th volume this month.
