Avex Entertainment has released the first official trailer for the new Initial D (Shin Gekijō-ban Initial D Legend 1 -Kakusei), the first film in a new trilogy for the series.
This new film trilogy will retell the beginning of the original story from the racing manga by author Shuichi Shigeno . High school student Takumi Fujiwara works at a gas station during the day and delivers tofu for his father's shop during the nights . Little does he know that his driving skills in the Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno will make him the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina Highway .
The first new film will be released inJapan on August 23rd . Advance tickets are already on sale for 1,200 yen (approximately US $12).
