It was already expected that Sony would present its new “console”(?), after all the speculation surrounding it.
Well then.
Behold, today the company publicly announced PLAYSTATION 4.5 or PLAYSTATION NEO .
The new console comes with more powerful hardware and support for 4k resolution.

- CPU: 8 Jaguar Cores at 1.6 GHz (PS4) | 8 Jaguar Cores at 2.1 GHz (NEO)
- GPU: AMD GCN, 18 CUs at 800 MHz (PS4) | Superior AMD GCN, 36 CUs at 911 MHz (NEO)
- Memory: 8 GB GDDR5, 176 GB/s (PS4) | 8GB GDDR5, 218GB/s (NEO)
In an interview with the “ Financial Times ”, Andrew House , president of Sony Entertainment said:
“Consumers are accustomed to a different cadence of innovations in technology due to smartphones and PCs. Our intention is for the device to live alongside and complement the standard PS4 and we will sell these two versions together over the lifecycle of the PS4.”
According to House himself, the value of the new Playstation 4 will cost more than $350 dollars , slightly more than the normal model of the console.
All games will have support for the Playstation 4 NEO, and they are producing games that will also be improved on the new console.
Note: The Playstation NEO NOT be presented at E3 2016 .
