During the Pokémon Game Show taking place in Japan on the 17th and 18th, a new Pokémon animation, or rather a special (OVA), was announced, confirmed via Twitter by serebeii , somewhat to coincide with Pokémon X/Y .
This new animated series will star Red and Green , the two main characters from the first games in the Game Boy series. The animated series is called Pokémon: The Origin .

About the characters: A boy named Red with his Pokémon Hitokage/Charmander, his greatest rival is named Green (both RED and GREEN are names in the video games). Professor Oak, Brock, Red's mother, and the famous Team Rocket will also appear. This special is set to premiere on October 2nd. More information coming soon.
