Is Kale a tribute to Broly or does she have another connection to Dragon Ball Super?
When the anime was announced, no one could have guessed it would feature female Saiyan transformations. After the first trailers and episode releases, we were introduced to a small part of Akira Toriyama's hidden universe. In episode 92, we met the stressed-out "Caulifla," who became the first woman in the series to become a Super Saiyan. Not satisfied, the following episode introduced Kale, the new Saiyan from Universe 6—Caulifla's sister.
Unlike her sister, Kale is shy but hides enormous power.
Even in the first promotional images, the character resembles the villain Broly , introduced in three films of the saga that does not follow the "main story" line. The character's form is angry and out of control when she confronts Goku.
As the tournament of power that brings together the strongest from each universe approaches, Kale will certainly participate, but it remains to be seen whether she will be able to control the new power she has gained.
Still in the episode, Freeza joins Goku's team!
Departing for Earth, our Universe 7, Goku had the idea of recruiting Frieza from Hell to fill the vacancy Buu left open. Once there, Goku asked Frieza to join the team and participate in the tournament for 24 hours. Frieza accepted the proposal with one small condition: if Universe 7 won, he asked Goku to revive him with the Dragon Balls, and Goku ultimately accepted.
The story of the new saga is created by Akira Toriyama and produced by Toei Animation, which began airing on July 5, 2015. In the timeline, it takes place after the Majin Buu saga and before GT. In Brazil, the series will be dubbed soon.
